WHY VISIT IT
The Museum displays objects that tell stories of hard work, ingenuity, and transformation, offering an authentic look into ways of life that have now disappeared. Visit the historic Palazzo dei Capitani in Palazzuolo sul Senio: a journey into the memory of the territory and its roots.
THE MUSEUM
The Museum of the Life and Work of the Mountain People was created thanks to the patient work of research and preservation of objects by Antonio Poli, with the aim of safeguarding the history of a rural community marked by the post-war period. Established in the 1970s, the Museum exhibits over 1000 objects, telling the story of the 20th century of a mountain community on the border between Tuscany and Romagna. It is the result of donations from local inhabitants who saw in the Museum the opportunity to preserve and enhance a part of their history.
