WHY VISIT IT
The museum offers a small yet remarkable glimpse into the Florentine artistic heritage, expressed in its many forms—painting, sculpture, goldsmithing, engraving, and more—spanning from the 14th to the 19th century.
A surprising treasure of art in a secluded and history-rich location.
THE MUSEUM
The Collection was created to safeguard and enhance numerous artworks from deconsecrated churches and roadside tabernacles in the area. It completes the visit to the adjacent parish church, an outstanding and unusual monument of Tuscan Romanesque architecture, rich in important works of art dating from the 13th to the 19th century.
Among the highlights on display are: Mystical Marriage of Saint Catherine by Bicci di Lorenzo, two Adoring Angels by Andrea della Robbia, Madonna and Child with the Young St. John by Giovanni della Robbia, Madonna and Saints from the school of Ghirlandaio, Madonna and Child with Saints by Jacopo Vignali
